While its name suggests that this blog will focus on business and economic issues, it also will incorporate news and views about the many ways that IU, its faculty and students are engaged in international partnerships and research. It also shines a light on university efforts to be inclusive in our home state of Indiana.

George, a proud graduate of the IU School of Journalism, returned to work for his alma mater in 1990 after a career that included reporting for The Republic in Columbus, Ind., and the Birmingham (Ala.) News, and various magazines. The author of an award-winning book about Bloomington, George publicizes research and other news coming out of IU’s Kelley School of Business, the IU School of Journalism, as well as a plethora of international area studies programs in the College of Arts and Sciences. An avid traveler, George has reported extensively, through other blogs, about the university’s activities in China, India and Korea and about great things he finds to eat along the way.
