IU Libraries Film Archive hosting ‘Home Movie Day’ event
The IU Libraries Film Archive will host “Home Movie Day” from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Bishop, 123 S. Walnut St. The event is open to those aged 18 and older, due to the location.
“Home Movie Day” is an international event dedicated to the preservation and screening of community histories recorded on film and video. Members of the public are encouraged to bring in their old home movies to share in an open screening, talk to an archivist and learn about preserving their family heritage, and share their films in a fun, open screening.
Don’t have any old home movies shot in 16mm, Super 8 or VHS? Camera phone videos will also be screened.
