IU newsroom writers April Toler and Milana Katic will provide information on programs and initiatives on the IU Bloomington Campus that affect students, in addition to highlighting student success stories and focusing on issues affecting college students today.

April Toler is the news and media specialist for the health and lifestyle beat at IU Communications, where she covers the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington, campus diversity and student life. Before coming to IU in 2013, she had been a newspaper reporter in Illinois, Florida and Indiana. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, frolicking outdoors, reading and listening to music. She enjoys sharing news about health topics and IU’s contribution to a healthier state and world. April is also lead contributor at the Health & Vitality blog.
Milana is the visual and digital media specialist at IU Communications. She provides supplemental material to other news and media specialists in the form of videos and graphics and occasionally writes a blog in the process. Before joining IU Communications in 2014, she worked as a multimedia intern for U.S. Kids magazines in Indianapolis and an arts bureau intern at WFIU public radio. She loves traveling, admiring art, quoting her favorite movies and being a hamburger enthusiast.
