Bike patrols at IU: A new dimension to police-community relationship

IU students going through the IU Police Academy recently learned about “scrubbing speed,” and practiced high performance driving skills in their emergency vehicle operations class. “The techniques that are taught in EVO are not traits that are taught to everyone who takes a driver’s test,” said instructor and IUPD-Bloomington officer Ross Allen.

New certificate demonstrates a commitment to emergency preparedness

IU Emergency Management and Continuity, in cooperation with University Human Resources, has begun offering the new Campus Emergency Preparedness Certificate program for IU employees. The program offers both professional development for individual employees and subject matter specialists for their departments.
